Steering Group Commitee

Hull Parent Carer Forum is managed by a volunteer steering group committee made up of parents and carers from Hull.

The committee are all parent carers of children and young people with a range of special educational needs and disabilities across the age range of 0-25.

They oversee the running of the Forum. Hull Parent Carer Forum also seeks the views and recommendations from our Parent/ Carer community and use these to actively guide the work we do.

The Steering Group meet once a month to discuss ongoing issues for families of children with SEND, plan events, feedback on meetings that have occurred with providers, and decide on the direction of the Forum.

Parents and carers can express an interest to join the Steering Group and are voted onto the committee at the Annual General Meeting. However, you can also express an interest at any point throughout the year. Steering group Committee members are on the board for terms of one year. (See Terms of Reference for further details)

If you would like to discuss joining the Steering Group, please fill out the contact form below.

We can work together and make things better for everyone.
